The first group of gypsies to be expelled from France after police raids on their camps are scheduled to be flown to Romania on Thursday. 79 gypsies have volunteered to be flown back on the initial flight to Bucharest. They will receive 300 euros($385) in financial assistance to start a new life, plus 100 euros per child. In total, around 700 gypsies are expected to be sent back to Romania and Bulgaria by the end of August.
