Αγανακτισμένοι έμποροι μπλοκάρουν δρόμους στην Αθήνα

Αγανακτισμένοι έμποροι μπλοκάρουν δρόμους στην Αθήνα

[speakoutforum] I WILL MAKE LITTLE BRITAIN GREAT BRITAIN AGAIN!

This morning we learned the latest GDP figures. It's good news that our economy is growing, but it's bad news that it's still only at 0.2 per cent. Earlier this week we got the news that unemployment is actually going up, and in March the Government borrowed more than it's ever borrowed in a month before.

Basil Venitis points out Great Britain is now Little Britain, a slave State yoked to Brussels. Its fall was inevitable, but the economic crisis will shrink the last pretenses of empire faster than anyone expected. Suddenly, the sun that once never set on the British Empire is casting long shadows over what's left of Britain's imperial past, and Uncle Ken(UK) rethinks his global role.

We're hardly racing out of recession - and that's why the big question running through the heart of this election is this: How do we get the economy moving? How do we get growth going? How do we make sure that growth is sustainable?

Venitis notes this is a watershed moment for Uncle Ken(UK). The country's public debt is soaring. The great engine room of British prosperity, the financial sector, now feels like an anchor. This is the record of spin, irresponsibility, and top-down state control. The glory days of London are now grinding to a halt. The main symbol of Britain's global might, London found financing for some of the world's earliest and most prominent multinational companies, and has had greater influence on global finance than Westminster has had on geopolitics. My great test as the next prime minister will be not only to redefine Britain's place among great nations, but also to adopt a venitist spirit.

And here there's a really big choice. Whigs say the economy will collapse unless they keep on wasting your money. Then, when things start getting better they want to impose a thwacking great jobs tax.

Venitis points out Tony Blair gets ten million euros every year from JPMorgan, just to pullpeddle its Greek-American president Jamie Dimon out of Greek jails for churning the nest eggs of poor Greek workers! His former ministers are not far behind. Steven Byers, a former transport minister, described himself as a cab-for-hire as he asked for 5,000 pounds(5,500 euros, $7,500) each day in exchange for using his influence with the government. Geoff Hoon, formerly defense minister, and Patrician Hewitt, formerly health minister, asked for 3,000 pounds each day.

Venitis notes the U.K. defense giant BAE Systems paid four billion euros in kickbacks to Prince Bandar bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia for an eighty billion euros British-Saudi arms deal. The British government abruptly ended its Serious Fraud Office inquiry into BAE. The U.K.'s Serious Fraud Office has reportedly accused BAE of bribery in six countries, which should be enough to prompt an inquiry into whether BAE is in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a law banning companies that pay bribes.

Liberal Democrats say: well, they say a lot of things. First they said that the call from business to stop the jobs tax is nauseating. Then they said that the jobs tax is actually damaging and needs to be stopped, but they haven't got a clue how to do it. They're like a pair of designer flip-flops that fall apart after the first five minutes.

We say: this jobs tax will kill the recovery. Because here's something the other parties always forget. Government isn't the same thing as the economy. Real growth only comes when make it easier for people like you to start a business, take people on and grow.

So we're going to cut Whig waste, to stop their jobs tax. We have said we will save one pound for every one hundred pounds the Government currently spends to stop this recovery killer. And today, people running over 1200 businesses agree with our plans. They know, like I know, that asking government to save some money isn't asking too much.

Gordon Brown, leader of Whigs, has never shown he can lead a happy team and a successful team. He screams, throws tantrums, physically intimidates his staff swears at staff, grabs aides by the collar of their shirts, pushes aside secretaries who he felt weren't typing fast enough and taking over the keyboard. Brown's staff are afraid of him because he is always shouting at people, being unpleasant, constantly blaming people for things going wrong.

Brown took the top job in 2007 when former Prime Minister Tony Blair stepped down. Opinion polls indicate a loss for the Labour Party, with voters unhappy about the struggling economy and the number of troops being killed in the unpopular war in Afghanistan.

Uncle Ken(UK) monitors every phone call, website visit, text message, and email in the country, entering the information into an enormous database, used to catch terrorists, pedophiles, and scam artists. Most Britons see themselves as powerless cogs in a greater machine; as potential victims of a society so large and insensitive that they, innocent bystanders in the crowd, might be caught at any time in the crossfire between the forces of good and evil.

Venitist Caroline Cartwright from Wearside in the northeast of England was remanded in custody for having excessively noisy sex! The cops took her in after neighbors complained of hearing her shouting and groaning and her bed banging against the wall of her home. Cartwright has, quite reasonably, defended her inalienable venitist right to be a howler: I can't stop making noise during sex. It's unnatural to not make any noises.

Cartwright had previously been served with an antisocial behavior order(ASBO), a civil order used to control the minutiae of British people's behavior, that forbade her from making excessive noise during sex anywhere in England. If she wanted to howl with abandon, she would have to nip over the border to Scotland or maybe catch a ferry to France. It was because she breached the conditions of her ASBO, the civil ruling about how much noise she can make while making love in England, that Cartwright was arrested.

Saving money is what businesses do, day-in, day-out. It's called getting more bang-for-your-buck, and without it, they wouldn't survive. So it's time we brought some business sense to government.

I think you're going to feel a real difference if we win that election. There's going to be the unmistakeable sense that Britain is back open for business. Because we're a party that is instinctively pro-enterprise and pro-ambition - respect for business is hardwired into our DNA.

That's why in the years ahead we want to work with entrepreneurs and business leaders, not just to make Britain the best place in the world to do business but also learning from business and working with business to cut government waste. That way, we can stop this jobs tax, help people like you create more wealth, jobs and opportunity - and really get this economy moving.

But there's another thing that would put the recovery at risk, and that's a hung Parliament. The indecision and paralysis that would come with a hung parliament is exactly what our economy doesn't need right now. International investors would wonder whether Britain was able to deal with its debts, pushing up interest rates. Businesses would worry about even higher taxes, delaying much needed investment and destroying jobs.

You know that any business will flounder without leadership and direction - the same is true for our economy. We have a phrase for it in politics already - "no overall control". Well can you imagine an economy with a record budget deficit and rising unemployment where nobody is in control? That's why a Tory government is the only way to stop the jobs tax, deal with our debts and secure the recovery. And that's exactly what businesses need now. We need venitism now! If not now, when?

Venitism is a new libertarian paradigm, introduced by Basil Venitis, which integrates politics, economics, ethics, and spirituality. Venitists follow the Venitis Laws:

Venitis Law of Black Hole: Taxation is armed robbery that feeds the black hole of political corruption; it's the perfect index of corruption and tyranny. Only evil governments tax citizens and companies.

Venitis Law of Constitution: The only purpose of a constitution is to protect citizens from government abuse. Reform treaties of a confederation not voted by the citizens are null and void.

Venitis Law of Democracy: Every democracy is eventually hijacked by rabblerousers, pullpeddlers, clans of kleptocrats, bumptious bugaboos, busybodies, butterbabies, nabobs of nepotism, cranks of cronyism, pusillanimous pussyfooters, riffraffs of rascals, socialist sophists, and machiavellian mafiosi. Democracy tends to kleptocracy. Venitism should replace democracy.

Venitis Law of Depression: Only governments can cause economic depressions and funny money. Lower tax rates, a reduction in the burden of government, and elimination of kleptocracy and VAT are the only way to boost growth.

Venitis Law of Education: There is no direct relationship between education and schooling. You might be schooled but uneducated, and you might be educated but unschooled. Schools are concentration camps for the drones of society. Unschooling is much better than schooling. Internet is the best source of knowledge and information, replacing schools, libraries, media, parliaments, and postoffice.

Venitis Law of Environment: The best way to save the environment is vasectomy. Deadly viruses are Gaia's antibiotics against the cancer of overpopulation.

Venitis Law of Equality: Death is the only equalizer. Egalitarianism brings death to society, transforming citizens to zombies.

Venitis Law of Evolution: The ultimate phase of human evolution is the complete domination of soul.

Venitis Law of Faith: Faith is retarded thinking that keeps you away from God. You have to become faithless, in order to start your journey to God! You have to discover God your own way without intermediaries. God's truth should replace faith.

Venitis Law of Government: The only purpose of government is to protect citizens from criminals. Public services, central banks, and fiat money should be abolished.

Venitis Law of Heroism: Entrepreneurs, innovators, and heretics are the real heroes.

Venitis Law of Insurance: Citizens with proper individual retirement accounts and health savings accounts should be allowed to opt out of State Insurance.

Venitis Law of Intervention: Any government intervention deteriorates an existing trend. Laissez-faire is the only progressive policy.

Venitis Law of Legislature: Parliaments should be abolished, because they continuously create laws that enslave citizens, constraint economic activity, loot producers, reward drones, and encourage political corruption.

Venitis Law of Misery: Throwing money to misery brings more misery. Fighting wild leverage with more leverage is homeopathic repression of reality. A deluge of fiat money brings financial plague and haemorrhage of economy. Real money is tied up to precious metals and strategic metals.

Venitis Law of Patriotism: Patriotism is addiction to local hysteria.

Venitis Law of Property: Governments should not own or regulate any property, including waves. The first individual who improves or cultivates any unclaimed property is entitled to that property. Governments cannot own, allocate, regulate, or manipulate frequency fields and media. Eminent domain is null and void.

Venitis Law of Religion: Religion is spiritual slavery. Church is the business of religion. Religious monopoly turns bishops to ayatollahs, and churches to Sodom and Gomor. Spirituality and metaphysics should replace religion.

Venitis Law of Rule: Anarchy is the rule of gangs, infinitesimal government is the rule of law, and big government is the rule of the cancer of socialism.

Venitis Law of Selfownership: You own your body and your soul, and nobody should dictate what you take in and what you take out. Speech, education, heresy, habeas corpus, military service, mating, healthcare, abortion, cloning, drugs, guns, and euthanasia should be personal choices.

Venitis Law of Style: Your soul needs to resonate with mighty words and unique acts that express your style and destiny. Your government cannot dictate your language, your words, and your culture. Resonate now and sing your song!

Venitis Law of System: The most efficient political system is venitism, where everything is private, there are no taxes at all, there is no parliament, and a powerless infinitesimal government is chosen and supported not by hoi polloi, but by the most generous benefactors.

Venitis Square Law: Political corruption is proportional to the square of the size of the government.

Venitis Tax Law: For each percent of lower taxes, the economy grows by at least four percent more, and the government gets more revenue. Raising tax rates is masochism. Smart stimulus is to cut tax rates. Stupidus stimulus is to increase spending, which stimulates the cancer of socialism!

[speakoutforum] PHARMACIDE THRIVES ON CACOTHANASIA

Pharmacide is the pharmaceutical industry's self-destructive effort to loot America and Fourth Reich(EU). Pharmaceutical industry executives are frequently accused of greedily putting profits before patients, as if drug companies could profit by means other than serving patients. This accusation would be unjust if these executives were after profits. Unfortunately, however, today's pharmaceutical executives are not after profits. They are after loot. They seek to gain, through legislation, money coercively taken by the government from citizens. But, unbeknownst to these executives, their looting is self-destructive. In fact, by aiding and abetting the government in its violation of individual rights, the pharmaceutical industry is committing suicide.

You should be free to search out the best, most affordable services from drugs, doctors, nurses, and other producers, who are free to offer and charge for them. There should be no government restrictions on the supply of medical professionals via licensing laws, just laws prohibiting medical fraud and malpractice. For example, a nurse trained in healing minor broken bones is free to start her own practice for lower-income customers. There are no "free" health care programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or government-imposed collective "insurance" plans to artificially drive up costs.

The government should not mandate that employers offer health insurance. Instead, individuals should pay for their own care, perhaps through a combination of direct payment for anticipated expenses and the purchase of catastrophic insurance for high, unanticipated expenses — or some yet undreamed of, superior solution the market comes up with. The result of a real market in medicine would be the same as in the market for computers: over time the same dollar would buy better and better products and services.

To reduce public expenditure on medicinal products, the national public health authorities in England and Wales introduced schemes providing doctors with financial incentives to prescribe to their patients medicinal products cheaper than other medicinal products in the same therapeutic class. However, choosing cheaper medicinal products with a different active substance might, in certain cases, have adverse consequences for the patient. The prescription of statins, which are cholesterol reducing substances, is primarily at issue in this case.

The High Court of Justice of England and Wales has asked the Court of Justice of EU whether the prohibition on financial incentives in the directive precludes the system applied in England and Wales.
In today's judgment, the Court finds that the prohibition in the directive concerns primarily the promotional activities carried out by the pharmaceutical industry and seeks to prevent promotional practices which may induce doctors to act in accordance with their economic interests when prescribing medicinal products.

By contrast, that prohibition does not apply to national public health authorities which, themselves, have competence for ensuring that the directive is applied for defining and to define the priorities for action in relation to public health policy, in particular so far as concerns the rationalisation of the public expenditure allocated to that policy.

In that regard, the Court notes that the health policy defined by a Member State and the public expenditure in that field do not pursue any profit-making or commercial aim. Therefore, the financial incentive scheme examined, which forms part of such a policy, cannot be regarded as seeking the promotion of commercial promotion of medicinal products. In addition, as regards that scheme, no danger to public health can be established in so far as the therapeutic value of the medicinal products favoured is constantly reviewed by the public authorities.

In those circumstances, it is permissible for those authorities to determine, on the basis of evaluations of the therapeutic qualities of the medicinal products by reference to their cost for the public budget, whether certain medicinal products containing a given active substance are, from the point of view of public finances, preferable to other medicinal products containing a different active substance, but falling within the same therapeutic class.

Venitis points out that pharmacide thrives on cacothanasia. Many medical advances are merely medicine gone mad, delivered by maddog doctors who cannot face failure. Quality of life can disappear under a forest of needles, wires, electronic gadgets, myrias expensive drugs, and surgical proceedures. There are myriads dying trapped in hospitals waiting for useless tests when they want to be at home. Others in coma following accidents or strokes often linger for months, hovering in that twilight zone between life and death, sustained by massive effort even when there is no hope of meaningful future existence.

Medical madness can be horrific. A friend went into hospital at the age of 75 for surgery which found inoperable tumour. She was a woman with strong faith, at peace, sustained by hope of eternal life. A day or two later she had a heart attack and was dying peacefully, as she had often prayed she would. But despite her wishes for no heroics the crash team was called and violent attempts were made to revive her with massive electric shocks, myriad drugs, and injections. She died anyway, without peace or dignity because no one stopped to think.

The limits of life are constantly expanding, without regard for the well-being or will of the patient. In some emergency rooms, half of all admissions now come from nursing homes. If someone who is chronically ill has a heart attack or gets pneumonia there, the most sensible thing to do is to make sure that they don't suffer, and to refrain from doing anything else. But this is all too rare. Instead, old people, who are dying, are torn out of their familiar surroundings, rushed off to hospital in an ambulance, resuscitated and given artificial respiration.

There are many patients who have been resuscitated only to remain alive in a vegetative state. Medicine puts many thousands of people a year in this awful state, in which they will remain suspended, unless they happen to have a living will. It was different in the past. In the 1960s, just about every other patient left the hospital in reasonably good health after resuscitation. The others died, partially because at the time you couldn't just keep feeding the unconscious. Today about one in 20 patients survives resuscitation. Take away those who leave the hospitals requiring long-term intensive care and the success rate drops.

No brain can survive without oxygen for more than eight to 10 minutes. If a doctor knows that this time limit has been exceeded, the patient has enlarged pupils and is almost clinically dead, then his efforts are pointless. Unless of course, the doctor thinks it's a good thing to produce patients in a vegetative state, at a 99% success rate.

The guiding principle for any physician is not to harm the patient. Additionally resuscitating someone who has metastasizing cancer and failing kidneys, after cardiac arrest, is completely pointless. This isn't any requirement for dialysis any longer either. Doing this, the doctor is just prolonging the patient's suffering.

Artificial feeding through a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG) tube inserted into the abdominal wall was invented to feed accident victims or people with a temporarily impaired ability to swallow. It was never intended as a long-term measure. But today about millions of people are living off these tubes. That is even though many studies have shown that a PEG tube neither prolongs life nor improves its quality during the end phase.

Many patients want their doctors to help them end their life with dignity, because they can no longer tolerate their suffering. There are situations in which it isn't just ethically justified, but in which doctors have a duty to do this. There are myriad situations in which a doctor is called upon to relieve the suffering of someone who is severely ill, and in a hopeless situation, and to conduct this in the manner in which the patient wants. In this sense, the doctor should see assisted suicide as a kind of palliative measure.

In a spirit of compassion for all, every competent adult has the incontestable right to humankind's ultimate civil and personal liberty, the right to die in a manner and at a time of his own choosing. Whereas modern medicine has brought great benefits to humanity, it cannot entirely solve the pain and distress of the dying process.

Basil Venitis, twitter.com/Venitis, points out the cost of State healthcare and insurance could be drastically reduced, if euthanasia were allowed. The summation of infinite costs from myriad diminishing returns add up to astronomical levels. Prolonging painful deaths at huge costs does not make any sense. Those toward the end of their lives are accounting for 90% of the total healthcare bill. If we really are going to change how we spend money on health, it means we must change how we spend money on death. The growing traffic in death tourism is an indictment of a healthcare system that seems to incentivize everything except the peaceful death to which we all aspire. Let the people die in peace, and let society breathe in peace.

Live and Let Die(1973) is the eighth spy film in the James Bond series, and the first to star Roger Moore as the fictional 007 agent James Bond. Venitis notes that euthanasia refers to the practice of ending a life in a painless manner, to live and let die. Euthanasia provides a way to relieve extreme pain, provides a way of relief when a person's quality of life is low, frees up huge medical funds from diminishing returns on health to help other people, is manifestation of selfownership.

Venitis asserts that euthanasia is the most humane and sympathetic way one can end life. By committing euthanasia, one is giving the power to a medical professional to end one's life. This may be a personal issue, or one that is given to a person by way of a durable power of attorney. In both cases, drugs are either given or withheld to facilitate the natural cause of death. Patients who have cancer, AIDS, and other terminal medical conditions with a poor prognosis are those who commonly consider euthanasia.

Euthanasia is now lawful in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the American states of Oregon and Washington. Choosing to hasten death by self-starvation and dehydration should be accompanied by palliative care. Electing to die by terminal sedation is also a choice provided it is freely made by the patient. Living Wills and Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care must be respectfully considered by medical professionals at all times. The most deadly substance on the market is pentobarbital, aka nembutal, that is a barbiturate and powerful sleep-aid. It is usually the substance used in medical euthanasia where that action is legal.

Venitis notes that kleptocrats oppose euthanasia, not for religulous reasons, but because they want many slaves around to pay taxes, with most of the loot finding its way to the secret offshore accounts of kleprocrats. Most Europeans want the establshment of euthanasia. Why a poor old guy who suffers from huge pain cannot escape from his misery to the other side?

troktiko: Όλοι στο Σύννταγμα με τους αδιόριστους εκπαιδευτικούς!

[speakoutforum] APRIL 21, REVOLT AGAINST POLITICAL CORRUPTION

The mythical bird phoenix symbolizes the rebirth of a nation from the ashes of political corruption. April 21 is the international day of revolt against political corruption. Untouchable Graecokleptocrats, the most corrupt politicians on Earth, those freaks that enjoy absolute impunity and full parliamentary immunity, assert that
kleptocracy is better than dictatorship! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

On April 21 1967, the phoenix showed up in Athens. The Athenian garrison, led by two heroes, George Papadopoulos and Stylianos Pattakos, made a fantastic bloodless coup d'etat. Greeks were relieved, because the Greek politicians are the most corrupt politicians in this universe and all parallel universes! This golden Greek phoenix lasted only seven years. Unfortunately, Greece got back to the corrupt socialist politicians. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

April 21 is here again, and Athenians look at the Attic sky for the phoenix. On a clear day, you could see for ever and ever
more. Basil Venitis asks for the dissolution of Pasok and Nea Democratia and the annulment of the inhuman Greek constitution, beacause instead of protecting the Greeks from abuses of the Greek government, it enslaves the Greeks to the Greek government! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

The revolutionary government of Papadopoulos and Pattakos(1967-1974) did an economic miracle, eventhough it used only ten economic consultants. On the contrary, the governments of Pasokleptocrats and Neodemokleptocrats failed miserably, eventhough they have been using ten thousand consultants. Obviouly, economists are a liability, not an asset! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Basil Venitis points out two roommates of Amherst College of Massachusetts, Anthony Samaras and George Papandreou, lead the two most corrupt political parties on Earth, Nea Democratia and Pasok. Papandreou is the premier of Greece, and Samaras is the leader of opposition. Papandreou participated in the kleptocratic government of Simitis, and Samaras participated in the kleptocratic government of Caramanlis. They are very good friends, but in public it's their job to accuse each other. Love in private, hate in public!

Venitis notes that Greece needs the constructive destruction of bankruptcy! Bailout of Greece would be a destructive distraction. The default of Greece cannot be avoided. The challenges facing Greece are similar to those that confronted Argentina, which defaulted on $95 billion of debt in 2001. There are a lot of similarities in terms of inflexibility of the currency, capital flight, huge taxes, and the risk of austerity measures leading to a sharp contraction in growth. Greece's financing needs are huge in the coming two years. It needs to prove to the market that it can drastically reduce expenses, taxes, sinecures, and Graecokleptocracy. The markets demand to see at least one Graecokleptocrat in jail!

Venitis asserts that Greece can easily pay its debt by selling its assets, such as land owned by the government, forests, islands, postoffice, colleges, state buildings, public TV stations, public radio stations, highways, ports, airports, state hospitals, mines, offshore drilling, and many other public services. Everything should be privatized. 90% of public jobs should be eliminated, because they are just sinecures, created in exchange for votes!

Greeks are fed up with all politicians. A range of government policies since the end of dictatorship in 1974 have made them feel powerless and betrayed by a centralized kleptocracy that claims to know what is good for them better than they do themselves. The welfare Graecokleptocracy has created not a feeling of security but a culture of dependency on crumbs and sinecures and a loss of responsibility. The all-powerful Graecokleptocrats are willing to say anything to fool Greeks and do anything to get kickbacks.

Venitis points out that for 35 years since dictatorship, Pasokleptocrats and Neodemokleptocrats who took turns in running Greece, the most corrupt country on Earth, borrowed as if there were no tomorrow, and they received 200 billion euros in kickbacks from Siemens, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, MAN, Daimler, antitrust, military purchases, monasteries, and many more. Through mismanagement, robbery, kickbacks, and nepotism, they drove the cradle of democracy to the brink of bankruptcy with a public debt of 350 billion euros.

Michael Christoforakos, the former president of Siemens Hellas, set a videocamera in his Siemens office, producing DVDs starring 200 Graecokleptocrats, kept at two public notaries. Christoforakos has the tiptop Greek politicians on DVD kowtowing to him for more kickbacks in exchange for lucrative overpriced contracts! The DVDs prove that Premier Costas Simitis, 10 ministers, and 80 MPs of Pasok, Premier Costas Caramanlis, 8 ministers, and 75 MPs of Nea Democratia, and 20 journalists shared two billion euros of kickbacks. Christoforakos, who now lives in Munich, identified John Bartholomew of Nea Democratia and Costas Geitonas of Pasok as the coordinators of kickbacks. Siemens set aside 10% of the revenue it received from state contracts to pay off Nea Democratia and Pasok as part of a bribery system that ran from 1975 to 2007.

The huge Greek debt is not due to spending, but robbing! It's not fair for poor Greeks to pay this debt, but for Graecokleptocrats to return the loot, mission impossible. That's why Greeks revolt against Graecokleptocrats with bombs, molotovs, guns, strikes, and riots! Many revolutionary groups try to overthrow Graecokleptocrats and hang them in front of the Greek Parliament! Most Greeks pray now for a coup!

It is the first time that every Greek is realizing that after years of Graecokleptocracy, it's time to fight back Graecokleptocrats. It's the only hopeful sign, actually. Greece has no choice but to reinvent itself. Reinventing Greece and cleaning up after years of Graecokleptocracy, however, is going to be a task worthy of Hercules. The time has come to pay the bill. And paying that bill, with the economy in the middle of a recession, is going to hurt. Nominal unemployment rate has hit 12%, and the real unemployment rate calculated by Basil Venitis is 25%!

No Graecokleptocrat has ever gone to jail! Venitis asserts that impunity of Graecokleptocrats is the most freakish justice in the world! The most infamous house on Earth is the Greek Parliament, aka the Grand Brothel of Syntagma Square, which houses 300 wild prostitutes, minotaurs that suck the blood of Greeks! It's a long way from the 300 Spartans of Leonidas to the 300 Graecokleptocrats of the Grand Brothel! Allons enfants de la Grece! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

The average Greek citizen, forced to accept inferior public services or pay bribes to get around them, is understandably not inclined to pay his or her fair share of taxes. This problem is compounded by a tax system that is arcane, vague, and quite punitive for those who are not prepared to dodge or bribe the tax inspectors, a service that the affluent take disproportionate advantage of. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Venitis muses that Papandreou is a Don Quixote who is tilting at the windmills of speculators. Papaconstantinou is a Sancho Panza who helps Papandreou to attack imaginary kallikantzaroi. The quixotic adventures of Papandreou lead nowhere, because he is surrounded by Graecokleptocrats who play farces on him. The cruel practical jokes eventually will lead Don Quixote to a great melancholy.

Papandreou asserts the big wager is dual, to best make use of the country's inexhaustible potential for the production of wealth, but also to distribute that wealth fairly. But Venitis notes fair distribution means playing Robin Hood, robbing producers with high taxes, a sure way for Greece to go belly up!

The German euphemism for kickbacks is nuetzliche aufwendungen(NA), useful payments. Corruption scandals at Siemens, MAN, Daimler, and Ferrostaal show that German companies owe some of their success abroad to NA. Germany is the world champion in bribery! NA has transformed Greece to the dumping place of Germany. German companies sell their defective equipment to Greece at double prices of their perfect equipment! Yes, at double prices Greece buys submarines that bend, airplanes that cannot balance, helicopters that fall down, security systems that do not work at all, and useless machines rusting in warehouses! Yes, Greece pays gold for garbage, thanks to NA! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Plato and Aristotle asserted that different regimes produce different types of human beings, and regimes ought to be judged by the character of their citizens. In Europe, the growth of interventionist welfare state has damaged personal responsibility and integrity, fostered dependence, undermined families, rejected venitism, and promoted corruption. Especially in Greece, the most corrupt country on Earth, Graecokleptocracy is accepted as a normal thing, and most Greeks rely on graft, sinecures, cheating, incivility, cacodemony, cancer of socialism, jingoism, religionism, lies, and kickbacks. The character of modern Greece of the 300 Graecokleptocrats is the opposite of the character of ancient Greece of the 300 Spartans of Leonidas. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

The Achilles Heel of the national character is licensure. Basil Venitis asserts that all licenses should be abolished, including doctors and lawyers. Licensure is an immoral exercise of force, an overly burdensome restraint on trade, a violation of the right to liberty, a mill of kickbacks. Government is a guarantor of liberty and is compatible with liberty only if its range is adequately restricted to the preservation of economic freedom. One of the many reasons why government licensure is incompatible with liberty, therefore, is because it is destructive of economic freedom. No other nation demands more licenses than Greece. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Anyone has the natural right to pursue any means of providing for himself so long as in doing so he does not act fraudulently or otherwise violate the rights of others. The state mandated license turns the free market upside down. It prohibits everyone from producing in a given industry except for those who are granted the privilege of doing so by the state, especially those who provide huge kickbacks to kleptocrats. The state, in such a scenario, absorbs all individual rights unto itself and then divvies up some of those rights in any number of ways. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Under a licensing system, such as we have today, if someone attempts to exercise his natural right to provide for himself without the state's nod of approval, which usually comes with kickbacks, that person goes to jail. Imprisonment for supporting oneself in an honest and non-fraudulent manner which does not infringe on the rights of others just doesn't seem right. Preemptive protection is offensive in nature, and therefore, is itself a violation of natural rights. In a free society, it is only after fraud or another violation of rights takes place that the state has the right to intervene on behalf of the consumer. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

By means of the licensure power, the state can permit the individual to eat or it can condemn him to starve, unless he gives kickbacks to kleptocrats. So long as the government has the power to issue licenses to live, we cannot claim to be free, and living without freedom is not much of a life. Fortunately, we still have a license to kill unsound and coercive government measures, so let us use that license to regain our right to live. Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Venitis points out Greeks, robbed at gunpoint by Graecokleptocrats, survive by schemes, fraud, sinecures, and mugging each other. Rousfeti means expensive political favors, which pervade everything from hiring public employees to property deals. Tax evaders and law breakers receive visits from officials eager to collect kickbacks. In return for leaving the guilty untouched, officials receive fakelaki, envelope containing bribe in cash. The standard rate for kickbacks is 10% of the forfeited penalty. Desperate Greeks now pray for a new dictatorship! Allons enfants de la Grece! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

Gregory means fast in Greek. Gregory's tax is fakelaki for fast service. Without it, you will wait for ever! All Athenians know very well that without Gregory they will have to wait many months before a state IKA physician could see them. If you want a surgery, you will have to give the IKA surgeon at least 5,000 euros kickback, that beloved Gregory! The surgeon would ask you how is Gregory. If you do not present Gregory, you will have to come back to IKA months later to answer the same question. If Gregory is not fat enough, the IKA surgeon might pseudoforget his scissors inside you! Allons enfants de la Grece! Hang all Graecokleptocrats in front of the Greek Parliament now!

[speakoutforum] ETONIAN PARADIGM

Basil Venitis declares Eton is the best school on Earth, a paradigm for all schools to follow. Eton, is a British private lyceum for boys. All students board. It was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI. Eton has a very long list of distinguished alumni, including twenty former prime ministers. Traditionally, Eton is the chief nurse of England's statesmen and the most famous school in the world. No other school can claim to have sent forth such a brigade of distinguished figures to make their mark on the world. Etonians include myself, incoming Premier David Cameron of UK, and my very good friend Mayor Boris Johnson of London.

Education, Education, Education was Whigs' number one priority. They promised that standards would rise in every school; that teachers would be given the support they needed to maintain discipline; and that every child would be given the tools to succeed. Over the last 13 years, those promises have been broken.

Venitis asserts that a real public school is not defined by who owns it, but by universal access and accountability to the public for results. It matters little whether public schools are run by a school board, a group of parents, a teachers union, a company, or a church. Once public money flows to private schools, they are no longer really private. The government's hooks will be firmly set to brainwash and dumb down the kids, in the name of public accountability. Vouchers open the door to government control of private schools. Private schools are already regulated by every State, but they are not as regulated as public achools. If the voucher plan is ever embraced in a big way, we can expect elaborate criteria for determining which schools may accept vouchers.

Public schools dumb down the curriculum, in teaching pseudoesteem over knowledge, in challenging Graecoroman notions of truth and virtue, and in convincing children that their parents are not to be trusted. It is an insidious bargain that encourages young people to stop thinking for themselves in exchange for living in a statist world in which they will never be held accountable and will never be expected to care for themselves.

Classrooms are filled with note-passers and texters, who casually ignore teachers struggling to make it to the end of the 50-minute period. Smart kids are bored, and slower kids are left behind. Anxiety about standardized tests is high, and scores are consistently low. National surveys find that parents despair over the quality of education — and they're right to, as test results confirm again and again.

Venitis asserts the public school monopoly has to be ended, and genuine competition has to be restored. The National Education Association's #1 priority isn't quality education. It is its members' financial and political power. American Federation of Teachers President Al Shanker, who was one of this century's best labor union presidents, once openly admitted, "I will begin to care about the quality of children's education in this country when they start paying union dues." Now, this may shock you, but it really shouldn't surprise you.

Education, like any other service, is best provided by the free market, achieving greater quality and efficiency with more diversity of choice. Public schools should be managed locally to achieve greater accountability and parental involvement. Recognizing that the education of children is inextricably linked to moral values, venitists would return authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from kleptocrats. In particular, parents should have responsibility for all funds expended for their children's education. Government should stay out of education.

The gap between rich and poor pupils is widening; standards are falling; violence and disruption in schools are rife; and we are sliding down the international league tables for education. To make matters worse, parents are rendered powerless to choose a better option for their children; under Whigs, school choice is a myth. We can't go on like this.

So Tories will:

* Restore discipline and order to the classroom . We will give teachers the tools and powers they need to keep order in the classroom. We will abolish the legal requirement of 24 hours' notice for detentions; reform the exclusion process; and give headteachers the power to ban, search for, and confiscate any items they think may cause violence or disruption.

* Raise the status of the teaching profession. Move to a high quality system of teacher recruitment and training by raising entry requirements, expanding Teach First and incentivising top maths and science graduates.

* Raise standards. We will take urgent action to reverse the decline in standards. We will reform the National Curriculum, remove political interference from GCSEs and A-levels, and allow state schools to do the same high quality exams as private schools. We will replace Key Stage 1 Sats with a simple reading test, reform Key Stage 2 Sats, and make Ofsted report on schools' setting policies and reading schemes.

* Create a new generation of independently run state schools. We will make it much easier for educational charities, groups of parents and teachers, cooperatives and others to start new Academies (independent, non-selective state schools). We will move to a national per pupil funding system, so that new schools get paid if they attract pupils, with extra funding for the poorest pupils (a pupil premium).

A Tory government will give every child the kind of education that is currently available only to the well-off: safe classrooms, talented and specialist teachers, access to the best curriculum and exams, and smaller schools with smaller classes and teachers who know the children's names.

Homeschool is a legal option in many places, for parents to provide their children with a learning environment as an alternative to school. Parents cite numerous reasons as motivations to homeschool, including better academic test results, poor school environment, improved character development, and objections to what is taught in school.

There is nothing wrong with laying out suggestions for what the average child should know by a certain grade. But most kids aren't the average child, and the Common Core State Standards Initiative isl not just suggestions. All kids are different. They grow, mature, and learn at different rates, and develop different talents and interests. In light of that obvious reality, to build an education system that treats all kids as if they are the same is insanity.

Simplistic rhetoric of national-standards advocates notwithstanding, research simply does not demonstrate that national standards lead to superior educational outcomes. And, no, adopting the Common Core standards is not voluntary. With states risking billions of federal dollars if they don't adopt them, the standards are for all intents and purposes federal standards, and their adoption mandatory.

One of the greatest gifts we can give to succeeding generations is the ability to think for themselves, and that means challenging the government monopoly of thought in education directly. It will be a struggle. All it takes is a trip to the ruins of the Berlin Wall to remind us that governments never give up power voluntarily. It is up to us to reassert our rights and recover our responsibilities.

Venitis points out that half of one's knowledge is outdated within four years! Thinking should be the top priority of education. The proper goal of education is to foster the conceptual development of the child, to instill in him the knowledge and cognitive powers needed for mature life. It involves taking the whole of human knowledge, selecting that which is essential to the child's conceptual development, presenting it in a way that allows the student to clearly grasp both the material itself and its value to his life, and thereby supplying him with both crucial knowledge and the rational thinking skills that will enable him to acquire real knowledge ever after.

Unschool refers to a range of educational practices on allowing children to learn through their natural life experiences, including child directed play, game play, household responsibilities, and social interaction, rather than through the confines of a school. Unschool differs from school principally in that standard curricula and of school, are counterproductive to the goal of maximizing the education of each child.

Basil Venitis, twitter.com/Venitis, asserts that public school employee unions are politically partisan and polarizing institutions. 95% of their contributions have gone to antivenitists. Not entirely coincidentally, venitists have often accused these unions of simultaneously raising the cost and lowering the quality of public schools. Many advocates of charter schools, vouchers, education tax credits, homeschoolig, and unschooling, have cited union political influence as the greatest impediment to their chosen reforms.

Increasingly, states and school districts are using technology or online learning to improve the delivery and efficiency of elementary and secondary education. As many as one million children in USA are participating in some form of online learning. Today, 27 states offer statewide virtual schools that allow students to take classes online, and 24 states and the District of Columbia allow students to attend a virtual school full time.

Online learning can be more than lectures. Another element involves presenting information in an interactive form, which can be used to find out what a student knows and doesn't know. Teachers have very few tools to gauge just how many students are grasping a concept in real time and reshape the curriculum to meet their needs.

Few people have a clear picture of what online education really looks like, which is one reason so many people are reluctant to consider what it has to offer. Learning online won't turn your country into a nation of home-schooled nerds, sitting in their basements, keyboards clacking. And it doesn't mean handing your kids over to robots for the day. Some online learning models eliminate human interaction, but the vast majority do not. Instead, they connect students and teachers via polls, video, chat, text and good old-fashioned phone calls.

Online education gives students in dysfunctional urban districts the chance to enroll in high-quality classes or language instruction without an expensive move to a suburban district or a private school. Cities benefit, too, as families uncomfortable with the quality of urban public schools can continue to live near their downtown offices while enrolling their children in Web-based programs, reducing white flight and suburban sprawl.

But though the families of students enrolled in online programs rave about them, cultural resistance has been slow to fade. And winning hearts and minds isn't the only hurdle to widespread adoption: Virtual education remains essentially illegal in many states, including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Seat-time requirements, which mandate that students' butts be in classroom chairs, often within the sightline of a qualified teacher, for a certain number of hours, are a major barrier.

The only way online education companies can respond to concerns about quality and age-appropriateness is if they are given the chance to experiment and win over students and parents. Government policies need to be tweaked, and companies need investment to grow. But for online education to really take off, we need to let the chalkboard in the little red schoolhouse go, and learn to love the glow of a child's face lit by a laptop screen.
